As part of a new wave of articles that aim to organize a number of galactic species in all kinds of ways, this one gathers all kinds of extraterrestrials species that are amphibious. It will be updates as soon as I come across other species while processing the information in the (current) two volumes of Elena Danaan’s Encyclopedia Galactica.

FIKTU YTU
The Fiktu Ytu are an underwater civilization living on the sixth planet (Shuulu) in the Marzari system (HD95086) in the Carina Constellation. They don’t have a spacefleet, but they “….are heavily involved in the space trade of mineral resources from their planet. Shuulu is a highly coveted world, so the Fiktu Ytu are in desperate need of military protection, as their world’s primary resource, which makes up 70% of its core, is gold.” (1, p.37). They are binary and oviparous.

We have spoken about other people living in the Marzari system at (2). You can also read more about the Samader Svarhuna who also live in the same ‘Constellation’ as the Fikty Ytu and who also are part of the same Matshuri Federation of Planets (3,4).

NOMMOS
The Nommo are amphibious beings that live on planet Xylanthia in the Sirius C star system. They have been chased from their world Nyan in the Sirius B (Thula) (5) system by the Orion Alliance. You can learn more about them at (3). They are also hermaphroditic people too (6). The Nommos have been named by the Mali Dogon tribe and they are said to have an underwater base on our planet (7).

TISARI
This amphibious species used to live in the Mintaka system in the Orion Constellation. Unfortunately they are another example of a civilization that had created a beautiful world on the third planet of Delta Orionis (one of the multi-star system of Mintaka). They never returned to their original world and settled in some ‘distant planetary system’. Elena Danaan writes: “Tisari are a peaceful amphibian humanoid race with slight lizzaroid features, in particular their slanted golden eyes, although their skin is perfectly human-like. They have palmed [webbed] hands and feet and glistening pale skin.” (9, p.234)

PURIT AV-ILLUMU
These amphibian beings not only appear in the work of Elena Danaan (9, p.294-295), but also in the Russian book of Aliens (11,12). At page 323 we can read something interesting related to their role in a number of underwater bases: “Amphibian Grey humanoids watchers for the Galactic Federation of Worlds (13), monitoring oceans and the access to oceanic interdimensional portals. Three huge bases in vast suboceanic facilities in North Atlantic, Baltic Sea and Northern Sea.” (9, p.323).

There is some more information on them on page 294-295 of the same book. Someone put out a video with information from both Elena Danaan and the Russian book of Alien Races, which is worthwhile (10).

Other species in the Marzari system (the Morilar Ye-En and the Merial) are part of another federation called the Matshuri Federation of Planets, named after the Matsuri starsystem where the Samader Svarhuna and the Zaedron live. The latter have created this (benevolent) Matshuri federation (see 1, p.31).

Unfortunately Elena prevents many parts of her Encyclopedia information to be shared, which forces me to create and use false lookalikes. I would have preferred to use the original with references to the page and the book.
